The Museum Of Black Inventors (MOBI) is a nonprofit museum dedicated to increasing awareness of Black Inventors of the contributions that helped build and stabilize our country. The founding principle is recognizing and appreciating all inventors and their inventions as one of mankinds highest achievements.

"Camp Inventions" is a camp that encourages young people to think and work on the science and math theories behind inventions. The Camps' locations may vary from year to year, in the past it has been held at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. There is no cost to participants. Workshops are facilitated by certified school teachers and other guest speakers. Age of participants are 6-12 years and 13-17 year olds. Applications are available in the Spring. Benefits to the participants include: Having their work displayed in MOBI Knowledge on Wheels Traveling Exhibit; and they will receive a MOBI T-Shirt.
The goal of the camp is to help nurture and stimulate the development of our students' abilities which will challenge and motivate them to discover the talents that lie within them.

One annual $1,000 Scholarship is available for African American Missouri residents only. It is awarded to high school students with a 'B' average who plans to attend a technical or trade school.

ESSENCE YOUTH BALL is an annual event held each year in February. Participants' ages range from 5-18 years old. The young ladies compete in three categories: creative expression, personal introduction and evening gowns.
The mission of the Ball is to teach participants to become culturally aware, to build self-esteem, and to nurture relationships among other African American young ladies. A unique component of the Ball is that all the young ladies participate in many activities throughout the year that leads up to the finale, the Ball in February.
